Education fairs quotes bonanza

Spent the first day of work on Friday at the Main Campus.....after Micheal agreed to let me work....

Micheal: Whats ur name ah?
Me: Ikhsan
Micheal: OUHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.........
Me: Huh?? why ouhhhh
Micheal: *stares blankly at computer*

It was my first time working at the main campus....and boy was it tiring. Spent the morning setting up the welcome table, busy greeting visitors, showing visitors the way to the toilet, and gaze with amusement at seeing people around me fanning themselves frantically with flyers coz it was so hot while I stood there still...grinning at them with the 2 layers of shirts I was wearing.

Then in the afternoon while standing at the welcome table, our boss Micheal drops by...

Micheal: Is that a white shirt you are wearing inside?
Me: yeah
Micheal: Ok can you do me a favor, can you go over to Inti and attend the talk on Pre-University programmes....I need you to spy on them.....see how many people attending the talk
Me: Yeah of course! *clinching my fists with delight*

I came in half an hour late into the talk....my first time into the Inti classroom...and I spent the whole talk looking left, right, back, front counting how many people were inside....and there was once the cameraman inside the room gave me a quzzical look -.- .

The rest of the day was.......boring....so I see no reason to blog more about Friday.

Well you may think I'm gonna write some damn freaking long and dull post about the education fair which took place the next day but newww ....instead I'll just write some memorable quotes from various convos with different parents during the whole course of the 2 days in midvalley.......

Convo 1...
Me: yea u might wanna try Monash University in Sunway....they offer mechanical engineering as well...
Parent(mum): oh yea...my daughter's actually studying in Monash in Australia...she's having finals soon....
Me: Oh....well good luck to her :)
Parent(mum): WHAT???!!! Y u wish her good luck???
Me: NO NO NO NO i mean its a genuine good luck wish m'am T.T
Parent(mum): hahaha no lahh i joking oni....haha thx thx il tell her that.....nice meeting u
Parent(dad): laughs as well
son of parent : laughs *tries to hide face*

Convo 2....
Me: ok thanks m'am....hope to see ur daughter in Taylors in a few years
Parent(mum): Haha by that time u already designing some futuristic environmental-friendly car
Me: Haha no lah il be designing some futuristic fast car! *gives the look
Parent(mum): yeah la a futuristic 'green' car...
Me: Haha that one i cannot guarantee you
Parent(mum): WAHHH u so bad ahhhh HAHA ok ok! thank u very much

Convo 3.....
girl: so whats the difference between the American degree system and the UK system
Me: well first off for the American system you dont need any pre-university bullshit.....
girl + 2 of her other girlfriends: *giggles

Convo 4 (a conversation with one of the lecturers from Taylors school of Hospitality).....
Mrs. Lecturer: Err can you like counsel 2 people at the same time about ADP....we have a lot of people waiting
Me: HUH?!!! *gives look* err haha ok ok can ah.....
Mrs. Lecturer: ohh THANK U SO MUCH!

Convo 5.....
Me: so where do you live?
girl: Uhm I live in Old Klang Road......its uhmm
Me: Oh near err.....whats that place called......OU....
girl: OU is in Damansara lah!!! *slaps shoulder
Me: No no no not OU....
girl: OUG LAHHHHHH!! *burst out laughing with her girlfriend*
Me: Oh yea yea yea that one! Hahahaha!

Convo 6 (with our soon-to-be-ex-principal Ms.Janice at PWTC a week before)......
Ms.Janice: Oh yea you can tell ur friends all I'll be stepping down next month
Me: HUH??? Why??? *giving the shocked look
Ms.Janice: Yeahla i cannot stand u ppl lah
Me: Where gotttttttt.....we are the most innocent people ul find on the 12th floor!
Ms.Janice: YEAH RIGHT!!!

Convo 7 (with our soon-to-be-ex-principal Ms.Janice at PWTC a week before)......
Ms.Janice: Oh btw I'm gonna be giving a few lecturs in the coming weeks at the Lakeside and Main campus
Me: Huh?? I thought you said u leaving??
Ms.Janice: No lahhh I'll still be hereeee....im just stepping down...
Me: Oh...what lecture?
Ms.Janice: How to be a *bla bla bla* (i forgot wat the lecture was -.-)
Me: Oh cool cool.......who u lecturing?
Ms.Janice: AIYOOO dun wan talk to u lah u nvr listen to me!!
Me: No no no Ms. sorry sorry!!!
(to my defence i was packing some brochures frantically while she was talking to me -.- )

Convo 8....
Some student helper: Eh someone wants to ask about Pre-U
Me: adui all counsellers taken la
TCPJ boss: u go counsel them lah.....
Me: NO WAY
Some random lecturer: yeah la go la
Me: ughhh fineeee
The 'some random lecturer' + TCPJ boss: Fuhyoo whaaaa!!!! woot woot! ooooo bigshot bigshot!
Me: giving them the look -____-

Convo 9......
Su zanne: Eh you look like that TVB actor la.....err Raymond Lam! *looking at my face
Alex: Oh yea la HAHA i AGREE!!
Su zanne: He does right! the nose and the eyes all
Me: WHAT??!!! *nearly faint

girl: Air stewardess
Me: Oh....

Me: oh nah its ok I have one
Girl: oh ok uhm.....just write on here *points at adp brochure cover page

This Napei edu fair has been by far THE BEST education fair I've been to so far. It was a jam-packed 2 days, a lot of talking, a lot of new friends, and most importantly, a lot more experience. Working alongside the second son of Tan Sri Loy Hean Heang....or was it son of the son (I forgot -.-) as well as a bunch of other super awesome student helpers at midvalley was definitely a privelege! I cant wait long enough for the next one...where I'm hoping my best bud can join me in on the fun *ahemcoughDoraisingamcoughahem*
